Stella Coreen Green, 82 died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
She was born, Aug. 27,1927, to Dan and Bernice Weaver in Jay, Fl. She grew up in Jackson, Alabama. She married John Styron in 1944 and they had one son, Billy.
In 1964, after her divorce, she moved to Jackson, Ms. and worked for Holiday Inns of America for 6 years.
In 1968 she met and fell in love with Robert Green. They were married Aug. 21, 1969. In 1973 they moved to El Paso, Tx, and worked for KFC, where they received many awards for their work. Some of which were presented by the Col. himself, Harlan Sanders.
In 1976 they moved back to Jackson, bought a home on Twin Lakes, and joined the Twin Lakes Baptist Church. In 2000, they moved to Madison, Ms, where they currently live.
Coreen is preceded in death by her parents, brother,Vaughn Weaver and grand-daughter, Kimberly Shawn Styron.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years Robert Green; her son, Billy Styron and wife Dee; grandson,William Styron; stepson, David, two stepdaughters, Linda Porter and husband Tom of Ga.; Kathy Lorenz and husband Gregg, of Fla.. Five great grand children, 19 step great grandchildren. Five brothers, Ed Weaver of El Paso, Tx.; Alton, Bob, June and Ellis, all of Ala.
