Fred Moore, 55, a former resident of this area, died instantly in the International Truck
Shop in Odessa Sunday, at 9:30 a. m He was a mechanic and employee of the shop. While working on his own car, seemingly a jack gave way causing the car to fall on him.

He was born Dec. 11, 1910, and as a boy attended rural school in Mitchell County.
His first marriage was to Lorena Turnbow in 1929. Their children who survive him are
Mrs. Louise O'Neil of Odessa, Bob Moore of the U. S. Navy[ stationed with his family in
Spain, Mrs. Helen Joyce of Albuquerque, N M. and Michael Moore, a Sweetwater High student. Other survivors include 13 grandchildren; one brother Tom Moore of Odessa; two sisters, Mrs. Bill House of Odessa and Mrs. Ocey Stump.

Mr. Moore had lived in Odessa since 1944 He was an employee of Hal Bennett on his
stock farm for 8 years, beginning in 1932 He was a member of the Champion Baptist church.

Funeral services were held in The Chapel of Roses in Odessa, at 2 p m Tuesday. Interment was in Loraine Cemetery, in the family plot, where his parents, a baby son and other relatives are buried
