Jefferson Fox enlisted as Private on 8/21/1862 in Canisteo, NY at age 27 years old. Enlisted in Co H, 141st Infantry Regiment New York on 9/11/1862. Jefferson was wounded on 5/15/1864. He transferred on 3/13/1865 to Co H, 148th, 2nd Battn Regiment RC. He was discharged on 6/30/1865 in Nashville, TN.
