Mrs. Annie Mae Meeks, 65, 512 Sixth St., Phenix City died at Cobb Memorial Hospital at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday after a short illness. She was born in Clay County, Nov. 22, 1899, a daughter of the late Ben and Mary Moore Galloway. She was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Fannie Pryor, and Mrs. Leila Clark, both of Phenix City, and Mrs. Lucille Gentry, Pensacola, Florida; a son Hayward Meeks, Phenix City; three sisters, Mrs. Della Barfield and Mrs. Louisa M. Cook, both of Phenix City and Mrs. Willie Pearl Cherry, Lakeland, Florida.; two brothers, Amos Galloway, Columbus and Needham Galloway, US Merchant Marines; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
