SPARLAND -- Joseph H. Endress, 88, of rural Sparland, died at 7:10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Camp Grove. The Rev. John Thieryoung will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Wyoming Funeral Home, with recitation of the Rosary at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Camp Grove. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice or Bradford Rescue Squad.
Born May 14, 1913, in Tremont,the son of Christian and Josephine (Zeitler) Endress, he married Dorothy Curry on Dec. 30, 1947, in Camp Grove. She preceded him in death Oct. 27, 1998, in Peoria. Also preceding him in death were a son, John Curry; a grandson; a sister, and three brothers.
Surviving are a son, James (Luana) Curry of Camp Grove; 16 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren; and three brothers, Clarence "Hank" Endress of Camp Grove, Earl Endress of Wyoming and David Endress of Sparland.
He farmed in the area his entire life, and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Camp Grove.
