Miss Mary Winifred Rooney, 80, of Main St., Hyde Park, Vermont, died July 20, 1961 at Copley Hospital, Morrisville, Vermont. Born in Fairfield, Vermont, she was a daughter of Anna "Annie" (Kirk) and Bernard "Barney" George Rooney. At the young age of 37, she was the Assistant Superintendant of Nathan Litham Hospital in Gloversville, New York. By the time she was aged 49, she was employed as a registered nurse at St. Mary's Hospital (Sisters of St. Joseph) in Amsterdam, New York. She never married.
