Daughter of Cyrus Irwin and Blanch Leas McGowan. She was a school teacher and administrator for 35 years. She began her teaching career in Kingston, AR and former president of the Arkansas Education Association. Preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. Clark, in 1999. Survivors include three sons, Eddie Clark and wife, Robin, of Berryville, AR; Harvey Clark and wife, Katherine, of Marietta, GA; and Newell Clark and wife, Denise, of Nappanee, IN; two sisters, Dorothy Tyler of Springdale, AR and Velma Fenwick of DeLeon, TX.
