A lengthy illness proved fatal this morning to Philip F. Campbell, 81, at his home in Newport. A lifetime resident of the community, the deceased was well known as an oysterman for 60 years.
He was a member of the Port Norris Baptist congregation.
Surviving are his wife, Minta Bradford Campbell; two sons, Bradford and Cornelius Campbell, both of Newport; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Allen, Philadelphia; and two brothers, James Campbell, Pitman, and Robert Campbell, Vineland. A grandchild also survives.
The Rev. Richard Clark will officiate at funeral services to be conducted from the residence Wednesday afternoon at 2.00 P.M. Interment will be in Newport Baptist Cemetery.
