Bert E Nichols Service to be Wednesday
Bert E Nichols, 59, owner of the Nichols Farm Equipment Company
of Mason City , died late Sunday evening at his home, 321 Madison N W.
He lived in Mason City for 16 years and was the owner of the Stoneyridge
Stables northeast of Mason City and was a breeder of American Saddle
Bred Horses.
Mr. Nichols was born July 3, 1894 at Dixon , Missouri. He came to
Mason City from Oklahoma City in July 1937 and opened the Nichols
Farm Equipment Company.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, Mason City and a past
exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 1355 Woodward, Oklahoma.
Surviving are his wife Marie : two sons Bert Orel Nichols, Hampton,
Dan L Nichols , Mason City; three granddaughters Linda, Sharon, Cynthia;
Two brothers William N Nichols, Pueblo , Colo and Lloyd O Nichols , Vienna Mo.
He is preceded in death by his parents , a sister, three brothers and a son.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Major Memorial Chapel,
with Rev. R. L. Williams, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating .
Internment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery
