Ada was the daughter of Mary Ann "Mollie" Mercer and Will Lanier (from her death cert.) Her father's name could be William Francis as I have found him listed as Will and B Francis.

After her father's death, her mother married John Callaway Thurman.

Ada had two full sisters: Nannie E. Lanier Bowman and Mat? Lanier. She also had 3 half-sisters and a half-brother:
Eva Ritten Thurman Parrack, Kate G Thurman Jones, Sallie May Thurman Scott and Benjamin Lee (Daisy Norsworthy)Thurman.

She married Homer Leonard Johnson about 1897. They had 5 children, 2 of whom died in infancy, 1 died under 10 years of age. The children are:
Homer Johnson (10 Jun 1898- 20 Jun 1898 FAG #50544643)
Mamie Johnson (born and died 4 Jun 1899 FAG #50544686)
Lois Ruby Johnson (29 Oct 1902- 30 Jul 1924 FAG #59260718) Joy Vinita Johnson (1 - Bonnie Lee Sullins, Sr, 2 - Oscar Zeretzki) Her dates: 28 Jun1906-18 Jan 1987 FAG #59265613
The 5th child would have been born btw 1900 and died bef 1910.

On the 1900 census in Montague county Texas, it lists they have been married 3 years, and that Ada was the mother of 2, with 0 living.

On the 1910 census in Wichita county Texas, it lists they have been married 12 years, and that Ada was the mother of 5, with 2 living.

On the 1920 census in Wichita Falls, Wichita, Texas, Homer and Ada have their daughters Lois and Joy in the home and their niece, Nora Elmore.

On the 1930 census in Wichita Falls, Wichita, Texas, Homer and Ada have lost daughter Lois and daughter Joy, now divorced and her son Bobbie L Sullins is in the home.

Homer preceded her in 1957.
