OBITUARY OF GEORGE LAYNE ADDISON

Funeral services for George Layne ADDISON will be held Sunday, November 01, 1970 at 3:00 p.m. in the Schmitz-Floyd-Hamlett Funeral Chapel. Graveside rites will be Tuesday, November 03 at 10 a.m. in Canadian, Texas. The Rev. Herbert L. Polinard will officiate at the Denton service.

Mr. ADDISON, 609 W. Sycamore, died Saturday, October 31, 1970 at 12:45 p.m. at Flow Memorial Hospital. He was born in Georgetown, May 22, 1883 and was married to Gladys NORWOOD April 24, 1934 in Canadian. He was a member of the First Christian Church and a former member of the Masonic Order and Shrine.

Mr. ADDISON, a former county treasurer in Hemphill County from 1919 to 1925, was a public accountant and was self employed. He formerly worked for the Internal Revenue Service as chief of division in Fort Worth.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Irene A. PINSON of Richardson and two sisters Mrs. R. T. BOWEN of Perryton and Mrs. Laura McSPEDDEN of Wewoka, Oklahoma.
