Mr. Creel was born in Scranton on October 29, 1921, a son of the late Ethel Creel and Fannie Hyman Creel. He served for a time in the Civilian Conservation Corps. Mr. Creel moved to Andrews about forty-two years ago and was a farmer.
Mr. Creel was predeceased by: his wife, M. Margaret Moon Creel; two sons, Samuel Curtis Creel and W. Larry Creel; and twin grandchildren, John and Olivia.
Surviving are: three daughters, Barbara Jean Matta, Gladys Nell Owens, and Debra Ann Tisdale; two sons, James Allen Creel and John Ralston Creel; a brother, Eugene Creel; a sister, Georgia C. Barrineau; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be one o’clock Monday afternoon, December 24, 2007, in Earle United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
