JOHN IRWIN BONNER -- A native of Due West, S.C., a resident of Mobile for the past 15 years and who lived at No. 7 Homer St, died Saturday night May 31, 1958, at 8:30 after a short illness.Funeral services will be held at the Roche Funeral Home this Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. J. C. Frist (John Chester), pastor of the Government Street Presbyterian Church, will officiate. After which the body will be sent to St. Louis, Mo., where services will be held with internment following in Bellefontaine Cemetery there. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Inez Burke Bonner, Mobile; two daughters, Mrs. Lila B. Murphy, Webster Groves, Mo., and Mrs. Lois B. Johnson, Rome, Ga.; a son, John I. Bonner Jr., Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Miss Clara Bonner and Miss Martha Bonner, both of Due West, S.C.; three brothers, Walter M., Lane L., and Henry E. Bonner, all of South Carolina. The deceased was at his retirement eight years ago, Assistant General Freight Agent for the GM&O Railroad, where he had worked for 48 years.
