Sadie grew up on a farm in Jones County, Iowa with her parents and siblings. Her father died March 29, 1880, leaving his wife, Rosalie "Rose", and children: Mary Pavlista, 24 of Saline, Co. NE.; Frank Pavlista, 22; Joe Pavlista, 19; Francis Pavlista, 18; Sarah Pavlista, 15; Josephine Pavlista, 13; Anna Pavlista, 11; Julia Pavlista, 9; John Pavlista, 7; Louisa Pavlista, 5; Eddy Pavlista, 4; and Emma Pavlista, 2.
After her marriage to Frank Yoble and the birth of their daughters, Maggie Emma and Sadie May, the family moved in 1887 to a farm near Barneston, Nebraska. The move was said to be in hopes of improving her health, sadly the move was in vain, she died of consumption or tuberculosis on April 14, 1888. Her gravestone stands alone in the Barneston Cemetery, a sad reminder of her short life. Sadie is not forgotten.
