William Penn Flenner (1830-1918, Memorial ID #19120343) - From information obtained from History of Butler County, Kansas, by Vol. P. Mooney, 1916 Pages 565-566; and Wichita State University, Civil War Diaries of William Penn Flenner; and contributor research: William Penn Flenner, a veteran of the Civil War, lived in retirement at El Dorado, Butler County, Kansas. Mr. Flenner was born in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, March 4, 1830, the only son born to Daniel Flenner and Catherine Morningstar, both natives of Pennsylvania. Catherine Morningstar was likely a daughter of John Adam Morningstar (1772-1845) or his brother John Frederick Morningstar (1773-1852), and she is presumed to be the mother of three children by a former marriage to Archie Richardson, as follows: John Richardson (1821-1889, Memorial ID #87181997); Thomas Richardson (1823-1888, Memorial ID #42620870), and Elizabeth Richardson.

David Flenner (1838-?). A son of Daniel Flenner as referenced in A History of the Juniata Valley and its People, Vol. III, p. 958. Husband of Flo Amanda Douglas Flenner (1846-1930, Memorial ID #140350607).
