Biography:
Emogene Jones ~ age 87, of Anderson, Missouri, was called to heaven at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday ~ September 22, 2010 ~ at the Landmark Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Emogene began her journey on February 23, 1923 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, one of seven children born to Louis and Mary (Snelson) Gann.
She married the love of her life, James Wesley Jones on February 13, 1940 at Safford, Arizona and to this union five children were born.
They moved to Anderson in 1972 coming from Fresno, California.
Emogene was a nurse's aide for several years at the Gravette Nursing Home and the Grove Nursing Home.
She really enjoyed quilting and crafts. Emogene cherished time spent with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, James Wesley Jones in January of 1995; a son, Gregory Dale Jones; a grandson, Andrew Christopher Svilarich; a grandson, Andrew Christopher Svilarich; three brothers and one sister.
Emogene is survived by two sons, Wesley Leon Jones and wife, Edna of Goodman, Missouri, Gary Dean Jones and wife, Pam of Neosho, Missouri; two daughters, Jeanette Bufford and husband, Dennis of Anderson, Missouri, Peggy Svilarich and husband, Ralph of Neosho, Missouri; two brothers, Charles Gann of Safford, Arizona, Lee Gann of Lake Isabella, California; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of relatives, friends and neighbors that will dearly miss Emogene.

Monday September 27, 2010, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Walker-Dowd Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson, Missouri
Family will recieve [receive] friends at this time.
Funeral Service:
Tuesday September 28, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Walker-Dowd Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson, Missouri
Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri.
