Mrs. Ona Bellow, 89, Of Remington, Dies
Mrs. Ona Bellow, 89, of Remington, died at 2:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, in Rensselaer Care Center, Rensselaer, where she was admitted three years ago.
A native and lifetime resident of Jasper county, she was married in 1906 to Edward D. Bellow, who died in 1940. She was a member of the Remington Presbyterian church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Louise Stokes of Portage and Mrs. Charlotte Stolkowitz of Crown Point; and one son, Wilson Bellows of Remington.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct., 3, at Stitz funeral home, Remington, with Rev. Leslie Van Inwegen officiating. Burial was in Remington cemetery.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bellows was born in Jasper county Oct. 12, 1883, and was the daughter of John R. and Ella (Smith) Wilson.
