CASKEY
E. Pauline Caskey, 81, of Madrid, died May 5, 1999 at the Boone County Hospital following stroke complications.
Services will be at 10:30 am Satuday at the First United Methodist Church at 703 Arden St Boone, with the Rev Rose Blank officiating.
Her body will be cremated following the service, and burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date at the Dillavou Cemetery near Scranton.
Mrs. Caskey was born Oct 24, 1917, at Carroll, the daughter of Harmon C and Elma Faye (Sexton) Linn. She attended school at Glidden and graduated from Glidden High School in 1936. She then attended Boone Junior College in Boone.
She married Norman V Caskey July 3, 1936 at Glidden. After living in Glidden until 1950, they lived in Wiscosin for several years and eventually moved to Boone in 1961. She and her husband lived in Texas for 16 winters.
She was a bookkeeper for the YMCA and YWCA in Boone for 15 years, then operated the Boone Taxi Service for 4 1/2 yrs until 1980. She was also a homemaker.
She was a member of the First United Church of Boone, the Magi Chapter No. 139 , Order of the Eastern Star of Boone and as a member of the Brush and Pallet Club of Boone.
She was preceded in death by a son and daughter and two children.
Survivors include her huband, two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and John Miller of Des Moines, Jacque and Tom Morkin of Marshalltown; a son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Becky Caskey of Boone; grandchildren William and Cathy Miller of Manley, Neb, David and Julie Miller of Des Moines; Cassandra and Dean Dozier of Jefferson, Karen Morkin of Des Moines, Jason Caskey, Ryan Caskey, Jonathan Caskey of Boone; and 3 gr-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dean and Darlene Linn of Webster City, Harmon and Roberta Linn of Coon Rapids and Colleen Linn of Glidden; a sister,
