BEARD-McKEEL-At the Lagonda House, in this city, on the 23d inst., by Rev. Hugh McBirney, Alfred S. Beard of Kentucky, and Sarah C. McKeel, of Webster county, Missouri.

Parents: William & Gilley McKeel

Her parents moved to Conway County, Missouri in 1869. She married Alfred S. Beard, a veteran of the 136th Kentucky Cavalry, at Columbus, Kansas on October, 23, 1880.

They settled near Toronto, Kansas. They went to Neodesha Kansas in 1906 and she continued to live there until April 1930 when she when to Wichita, Kansas to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Emma Spencer.

She united early in life with the Methodist Church, but during her time in Neodesha she transferred her membership to the Christian Church.

Children: Mrs. Emma Spencer, Earl Beard, Ella Lingo. Six children preceded her in death, including Mrs. Etolia Cole, who died in Neodesha in February, 1935.
