Francis A. Bissing, 90, formerly of Hays, died Friday at the Universidy of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. He was an Olathe resident. He was born Feb. 12, 1891, the son of Justis and Elizabeth Bissing.

He was married to Pearl Benjamin, who died Jan. 28, 1975.

He was a World War veteran and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Olathe and the American Legion in Hays.

He is survived by two sons, Paul J., LaVernia, Texas, and Dr. Donald E., Marlton, N.J.; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Talley, Olathe; two brothers, Albert Bissing, Hays, and Pete Bissing, Aurora, Ill.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church and burial, with full military honors by the Hays American Legion, will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, where a parish wake service is planned at 7 p.m. Monday.
