Jason died at Children's Hospital in St. Louis of Mikity-Wilson Syndrome, a chronic lung disease in premature infants. At the time of his death, he was 2 months and 17 days old.
He was survived by his mother and father; and his brothers.
A funeral Mass was conducted at 10 a.m. on 09 Nov 1970 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Meppen, Illinois. Hanks Funeral Home in Hardin was in charge of arrangements.
