Juanita Huxoll

Juanita Huxoll of Dayton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at Kadlec Medical Center. She was 78. Born July 8, 1932 in Finley, Juanita was the youngest of nine children.
She married Mike Huxoll on July 18, 1950, in Pendleton. They settled down and raised their family in the Huntsville / Dayton area. Juanita loved camping, gardening, and enjoyed going to movies with her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was her family. Her caring passion for children led her to become foster parent at the age of 72.
She is survived by three children, Linda Zavala of Dayton, Scott Huxoll of Waitsburg and Kevin Huxoll of Walla Walla; one brother, Fred Samson of Sweet Home, Ore; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; two infant sons; one sister; and six brothers.
There will be a graveside service at the Dayton City Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Rocco Shanks will be officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Aid Center through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla.
