He was the son of Francis D. Baker & Penelope Emmaline Hughes. His father died during the Civil War and his mother remarried to Benjamin Hawkins in 1864. Hugh was married to Mary Davis in 1881, divorced then married second to Nancy Wallace in 1884. He had one son with each wife. His stepfather can be found under memorial #10323707. I have not yet located the grave of his mother who died in Mclean County in 1919.
