FORMER CUBA WOMAN DIES
Mrs. Clarissa Pells, who for many years lived in Cuba, Kan., died at the home of her son, George Pells, at Thedford, Nebraska, August 19, 1933, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 11 days.

She was born at Fort Wayne, Indiana September 8, 1850. She came to Republic county in 1869 with her parents and settled near Cuba.

She was united in marriage to Philip Pells at Belleville, Kan., March 12, 1882. To this union were born four children, all of whom are still living: William and George of Thedford, Mrs. Nettie A. McKain of Grand Island. She also leaves one step-son, Oscar Pells of Gurnsville, California.
Her husband, who was a minister in the United Brethern church, as well as a farmer, died in 1912. Since that time

Mrs. Pells has made her home with her children.
For a number of years she has been totally blind, but this did not blight her sunny disposition.

Burial was made at Thedford, Nebr.
