He was baptized March 27, 1881 in Abbeyfeale, County Limerick, Ireland. According to family lore, he was a butler for Cardinal Spellman of the New York Archdiocese. The 1940 census lists his occupation as "private butler" so it would seem to at least partially confirm this. The photo you took also shows his son Dennis Keane buried with him. Dennis was born about 1919 (per the 1920 census).
