Funeral for Fred Wayne Strine, 60, of Paradise was Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Bridgeport. Sgt. John Stuard and Rev. Bobby Miller officiated. Burial followed in West Bridgeport Cemetery.
Strine died Satuday, Sept. 24, 2005, in Paradise.
He was born April 17, 1945, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Fred E. and Georgia Peak Strine. A machinist and roofing contractor, he married Barbara Jean O'Bryant on Sept. 2, 1983, in Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Strine, two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Melissa Bitner and husband, Zack, of Dewitt, Ark., and Sherri Ramsey and husband, Gary, of Bridgeport; six grandchildren, Amanda and Chris Ramsey, Dee Dee and Daniel Carder, Maddison Strine and Tanner Armstrong; two sisters, Georgia Gross of Overton and Barbara Stuard and husband, John, of Granbury; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Billy Gardner, Don Moose, Billy Carl Strine, Donnie Wilkerson, Fred Moose II, Danny Fleetwood, Corky Wilkerson and Gary Bell. Honorary pallbearers were Melvin Seay, Jake Taylor, Jimmy Seay, Darrell Owens and Lonnie Wilkerson.
