Bud was born in Idaho Falls on Aug. 14, 1933, to Elmer W. and Elva Nebel Lebsack, where he attended schools, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. After one year at Idaho State College, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent a year as a weapons instructor at Fort Ord, Calif., and the rest of his time in Germany. Upon his return home, he continued his education at Brigham Young University and Idaho State University. Bud married Mary Ann Anderson on June 15, 1958, in the St. Anthony Catholic Parrish in Pocatello. He began his employment at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory in September 1958, retiring in January 1995 after 36 years, with 30 years as a radiation safety engineer.
Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, boxing, guns, gun reloading, snowmobiling, camping and all outdoor activities. He was a member of the Pocatello Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Elks Lodge No. 674.
Bud is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of Pocatello; three sons, Dirk (Annah) Lebsack of Seattle, Wash., Eric (Terena) Lebsack, and Jeff (Tara) Lebsack, all of Kuna, Idaho; five grandchildren, Christa, Tori, Marcus, Bailey and Morgan; his mother-in-law, Ann Anderson of Pocatello; a sister, Kay (Larry) Campbell of Fallbrook, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Robin (Glenn) Dansie of Shoshone, Idaho; nieces, Amy (Brian) Andrus and their children, Dustin, Ashley and Courtney, of Gooding, Idaho, Tiffany Dansie of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Jennie Scott and daughter Cheyene of Fallbrook; and a nephew, Wade Campbell of Fallbrook.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, James C. Anderson.
