He was born Jan. 17, 1926 in Lafayette to the late Byron D. and Edna Mae Little Egelhoff. On April 6, 1957, he married Adair Armstrong. They divorced and she preceded him in death. He married Ida Powers and they also divorced. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Kuyper.
Surviving are a son, Phil Egelhoff of Lafayette; twin son and daughter, Steve Egelhoff (wife: Caren) of Brookfield, Connecticutt and Stephanie Loput of Orange County, California; a sister, Susan M. Baker (husband: David) of Lafayette and 4 grandchildren, Daniel Egelhoff, Kristin Hardesty, Peter Egelhoff and Michael Loput.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and during the Korean War.
