George Franklin Wallace was born in Equality, Illinois. He was married one time that I know of to a Gretchen Barnes, daughter of David Crockett Barnes and Martha F. Abraham. According to records at the Gallatin County, Courthouse, they were married on 10 August 1933. Gretchen was born 30 November 1906 in Gallatin County, Illinois and died 3 January 1980 in Doctor's Hospital in Harrisburg, Saline, Illinois. I don't know the dates but I don't believe George and Gretchen were married very long. When Gretchen died, she was married to Cloyd Tite. (Dates unknown) Gretchen and Cloyd Tite are both buried in Westwood Cemetery at Shawneetown, Gallatin, Illinois.
