Born August 1, 1933 in Vigo County, Betty was the daughter of William F. Brant and Bertha (Summit) Brant.
Betty was employed as a care giving companion to the elderly for many years and loved caring for her flowers and garden.
Survivors include two sons, Bill (Patricia) Derr and Steve Derr both of Rosedale; one daughter, Barbara (Carl) Kiser of Rosedale; two brothers Robert (Theresa) Brant of Inverness, Florida and Billy G. (Eleanor) Brant of Terre Haute; one sister Mary (Bob) Miller of Tucson, Arizona; three grandchildren Charity Stonecypher, Tammi Murdock and Michael Derr; one great grandchild, Kiara Murdock and one nephew and four nieces.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Forrest E. Derr who passed away May 6, 1994.
Services will be Friday, Nov. 11, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home in Rosedale with Rev. Clifford Farley and Rev. Mary Miller officiating. Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery in Rosedale, IN. Visitation will be before services on Friday, Nov. 11, 2005 between the hours of 12 and 2.
