WALTON, Lester (Les) V. - 1158 Adams Rd., age 73, died Saturday, February 18, 1987, at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home, Rev. Charles R. Marble officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation 8 AM to 10 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Atherton United Methodist Church. Mr. Walton was born in Lapeer County, Mich., September 1, 1904, had resided in Flint most of his life. He attended Atherton United Methodist Church, served in the U.S. Navy from 1923 through 1927. He was an active member and past president of Genesee Sportsmen Club and was employed as a tool and die maker by Buick Motor Division for 40 years, retiring, in 1966. Surviving are: wife, Alta; son and daughter-in-law, James L. and JoAnn Walton of Burton; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. James (Jacqueline) Guelde of Goodrich and Mrs. Donald (Dolores) Griffin of Davison; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 3 brothers, Vivan Walton, of Burton, Donald Walton of Lewiston and Byron Eugene Walton of California; half-sister, Pearl Mallory of Florida; several nieces, nephews, other relative and very special friends, Dorothy and Don Kita and family.
