Bishop Crossing-now known as Bishopton. Napthali was the brother of the Co-founder of the Town of Bishop Crossing. John Bishop. Napthali was a Drummer for the Revolutionary War when the British and Indians burned down his parent's home in Vermont. Shortly after John Bishop, JR. got his grant for land, he died, leaving Napthali to run the town.
