The Tattnall County native was a member of Reidsville Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary C. Wilson of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Mrs. Callie C. Peeples of Brunswick; three sons, Carl L. and Olin H. Cowart, both of Reidsville and Arthur G. Cowart of Columbia, S.C.; ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 2 P.M. last Saturday in Reidsville City Cemetery.
McCall-Cobb Funeral Home of Reidsville was in charge.
