DARDANELLE-Virginia Sue Merritt passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 at her home. Sue was born Feb. 13, 1920, at Riverside, Ark., to Lee and Annie Apple. She was proceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dana Merritt; a daughter, Patricia Merritt McConnell; a brother, Paul Apple; and three sisters, Ruby Graham, Rachel Faulkner and Ezma Carter.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Martha Merritt; a son-in-law, Bruce McConnell; and six grandchildren, Beth Holler, Stephanie Pulliam, Susan Haile, Michael Merritt, Mark Merritt and Chris Merritt.
Funeral was at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at Cornwell Chapel with the Rev. Jim Benfer officiating. Arrangements were by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
