The Fulton Daily Sun-Gazette:1939:

All day services at the Richland Baptist Church, Sunday, were largely attended and Reverend K.E. Magruder, the pastor, preached sermons in the morning and afternoons. a dinner was served at the church at noon. It was revealed, at the service that the church was 100 years old in July, 1940

The first Baptist Church was a log house and the second a brick structure and was erected more than sixty years ago. Some of the old time preachers were Reverend Noah Flud, Reverend J.M. Robinson and Reverend W.H. Burnham.

The Reverend S.S. Keith, a Callaway Pioneer Minister, was pastor of the church five years and held some revivals there.

Miss Maggie Sallee was the oldest person present at Sunday's service. She is 88 years old and makes her home with Mrs. Harry Baynham at Bachelor.

Kellis Estil Magruder, 73, of 709 Bluff Street, Fulton, died at 5:00pm on October 31, 1955 at Callaway Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for four days.

Dr. E.R. Gish, of Fulton, pronounced death caused by Terminal Pneumonia due to Myocardial Failure contributed to by Hypertnesion and Cardial Vascular Disease. The informant was Edna Magruder, spouse of the deceased.

Mr. Magruder was born March 23, 1882, in Howard County, the son of David V. and JoAnn (Ware) Magruder. He was united in marriage to Edna Corvey and she survives him. Mr. Magruder was a retired minister.

Arrangements were under the care of Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial was in the Log Chapel Cemetery in Howard County.
