Funeral service for Joseph Leir, 54, a resident of this county 46 years when he came here as a boy with his parents, were held from the Mose Lutheran church Tuesday of this week. Rev. A. O. Borlaug, McHenry pastor, preached the funeral sermon and burial was made in the Mose cemetery.
He died Tuesday, November 27, form a heart attack.
He was born July 27, 1891, in Osseo, Wis., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Leir, who settled in the Mose community 46 years ago. He had made this county his home ever since that time, being engaged in farming and carpenter work.
He married Miss Bina Johnson in Cooperstown July 25, 1917, who died about two years ago.
