Anthony Ray Barlup II, 16, of 23 N. Franklin Street, Waynesboro, PA was pronounced dead around 8:15 P.M. Sunday, September 19, 2010, from the result of an automobile and pick-up truck accident on Midvale Road of Washington Township. He was born on May 23, 1994 in Johnstown, PA; he was the son of Crystal A. (Skibo) Aleshire of 17 N. Price Street, Waynesboro and the late Anthony R. Barlup who died April 15, 1998. Anthony lived most of his life in the Waynesboro area. He was a freshman at the Waynesboro Area Senior High School. Anthony attended the Otterbein Church for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, Scott E. Reed, two sisters, Olivia L. Aleshire and Dakota A. Skibo both of Waynesboro, maternal grandparents, Timothy & Rebecca Skibo of Johnstown, paternal grandmother, Brenda L. Kneasel of the same address, paternal great-grandfather, Darrell B. Barlup of the same address, special guardians, Darwin P. and Paula K. Ford of South Carolina and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded by his paternal great-grandmother, Mary Louise Barlup who died October 11, 2009.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 24, 2010 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro with Pastor D. Craig Shuler officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery near Mont Alto.
