Mary Wise Adair
Mary Morse daughter of W. F. and Lizzie J. Morse was born in Macon County, Missouri, July 22, 1877. In young womanhood she professed faith in Christ and united with the Milam Chapel church. She loved her church and continued a faithful member to the end.
On February 26, 1898 she was united in marriage to G. W. Wise ad to this union was born three sons, Ferris Morse Wise of Chicago; William Vern Wise of Shelbyville; and an infant son passed away at the age of one month. On September 17, 1936 she was again united in marriage to C. H. Adair. Surviving are her husband, two sons, and two daughters-in-law, four grandchildren. Three sisters, Mrs. Alice Salyer of Ashland, Kas., Mrs. Josie Scrutchfield of Clarence, and Mrs. Lula McDuffee of Macon. Four brothers; A. F. and Frank Morse of the home neighborhood, B. H. Morse of Saco, Mont., and W. P. Morse of Rivera, Mo. she departed this life at her home, Nov 11, 1936 after an illness of two weeks. Funeral services were held, Friday November 13th art 2 oclock conducted by her pastor, Rev. McGrew with burial in the nearby cemetery.
