Mrs. Etta B Cassell, 80, of 345 Caldwell St, widow of Lynn R Cassell, died at 1:32 am Thursday at Passavant hospital where she had been a patient since April 27.
She was born in Ohio July 28, 1887, daughter of Herman and Emma Whittier Bieber. She was married June 1909 to Mr Cassell who died Oct 26, 1945.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Dorothy Campbell of this city; a brother, Harry Bieber and two sisters; Mrs Bertha Ruebling and Mrs Emma DeFrates, all of Davenport, Iowa; two grandchildren, Shirley Wheeler of Knoxville, TN, and George Jr of Salina, KS; and two great grandchildren Marsha and Michael Wheeler.
Mrs Cassell was a member of Central Christian church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Williamson Funeral Home with Rev. William Sturgess officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville East Cemetery.
