Hyrum John Barson, 51, a resident of 10608 Mansel Avenue, Inglewood and member of Lennox Ward (Inglewood CA LDS Stake,) died 28 Sept 1960. services were held 01 Oct at Lennox Ward LDS Chapel, with George M Beirdneau officiating. Assisting were Stake Pres. Sterling Arthur Johnson, Bishop Whiteny Chapman, Norman Gardner and Bud Layne.

Anna Faught was at the organ and Reed Davis sang two solos. Interment was at Glen Haven Memorial Park, under direction of Utter-McKinley-Beaver Mortuary of Inglewood.

Mr. Barson was born 21 May 1909 at Clarkston, Utah, the son of Effie Bell and Hyrum S Barson.

Mr Barson is survived by his widow, Genevieve Bage Larson Barson; by his children Carol B (Charles Norman) Gardner of Provo UT; Vaudis B (Reed H, deceased prior to 2011) Davis of Duchesne UT; Farren Kennard B (Margie Mefford,) Clyde John B (Jeannette Smith,) LaFae B (John D Dahl) age 11; Frances Louise B (Mark Anderson) age 4 1/2 and Duane Kay B (Sherrie Slaven) almost 3 yr. (Clyde is serving an LDS Missionary call to the Western Canadian Mission.)

Additionally surviving are two step-children Byron (deceased)(Bonnie Rae xx)Larson and Deloris Bage Larson; and six grandchildren.

Brothers and sisters attending the services were Mr-Mrs Peter E (Flora) Barson of Nampa ID; Mrs Fannie Barson (Kannelm) Chandler of Weiser ID; Mrs Sylvia Barson (Orville) Buttars of Clarkston UT, and Mrs LeRee Barson (Wilbur) McCauley of North Hollywood
