Elmer Julian, age 74, of Richland died Sunday after a long illness at his home in Richland. He was born in Atwood, Oklahoma where he grew up & finished high school, here he met & later married his high school sweetheart, Jessie Mae Poole. They were married for 52 years. He came to work on the Hanford Project in 1943. Started with E.I. DuPont & continuing with the various contractors until he retired as a chemical operator from Rockwell in 1976. He was a pioneer member of the Richland Church of Christ, where he served as a Deacon for more than 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Mae of Richland, 1 son Carroll Julian, Pasco, 1 daughter Linda Dalton of Anchorage, Alaska, 2 grandsons, Greg Julian, Pasco & Jack Dalton, Anchorage, 2 granddaughters, Kathrine Liniger of Richland & Maureen Dalton of Anchorage. 1 great grandson, Michael Liniger & 1 great granddaughter, Ashley Liniger, both of Richland. 3 brothers, Fred Julian of Woodward, Oklahoma & Edgar of Atwood, Oklahoma & William L. of Pasco, 1 sister, Ethel Julian of Altus, Oklahoma. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 am at Einan's Funeral Home, Richland. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland. Memorial may be made to the Young People's Class of the Richland Church of Christ, 933 Thayer Drive, Richland, WA 99352. Friends may call from 8-8 Tuesday & Wednesday 8-10 am.
