Ruth L. Pfrommer, 61, former secretary-treasurer of Pfrommer Brothers Appliance Store, died at 3:32 AM Friday, Sept. 13, 1985, in Lafayette Home Hospital. She had been hospitalized one day and in failing health 18 months, though she worked until early August. She was born in Lafayette and was a life resident of the area, except for three years that she spent in California when she was employed by the Rand Co.
Miss Pfrommer was a 1941 graduate of Jefferson High School, and for the past six years she was employed in the accounting department at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was associated with Pfrommer Brothers for more than 20 years. She was a life member of St. James Lutheran Church, and for many years she was a member of Altrusa Club of Lafayette.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Pearl C. Pfrommer of Lafayette; four brothers, Dr. John R. Pfrommer, David L. Pfrommer, both of Lafayette, James E. Pfrommer of Santa Monica, CA, and Eugene R. Pfrommer of Fullerton, CA; a stepbrother, Phillip E. Kendall of Grand Prairie, TX; and nine nieces and nephews.
