Born: September 22, 1921 at Maysville, Oklahoma to Bill and Myrtle Cannon. Died: June 28, 2010 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City. Age: 88

Mrs. Abernathy has been a lifetime resident of this area. She attended school at
Maysville. On May 18, 1940, she married W.L. "Bud" Abernathy in Lindsay. They lived in and around Maysville and Pauls Valley all of their married life. Estelle was affiliated with the Church of Christ. She enjoyed being a member of the Garvin Springs Extension Club and enjoyed yard work and gardening. She had worked at Judy's Dress Shop in Pauls Valley at one time. She will be missed by her family and great number of friends made throughout the years.

Survivors: husband Bud Abernathy of Pauls Valley; brothers, David Cannon
and Harold Dean Cannon of California; sisters, Twila Beth Warden of
Norman and Betty Ann Allen of Lone Grove; and many nieces and nephews and other members of the family.
Estelle is preceded in death by her parents, two babies in infancy, two brothers: Gus Cannon and John O. Cannon, and a sister Alice Crouch.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 am at the
Maysville Cemetery with Roy Shave officiating with burial under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville.
