DONALD SCHWEBEL, FORMER TEACHER
Donald V. Schwebel, 56, of 25 Estes Drive, North East, MD., died at 4:08 p.m. Wednesday (May 14,)in Perry Point Veterans Hospital following a lengthy illness.
The husband of Alma Findley Schwebel, he was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church Lancaster.
Before becoming ill, he taught at the Baltimore City College and schools in Wilmington, DEL., and Oxford.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the transportation corps of the U.S.Army in the Philippines and Japan.
Born in Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Peter and Catherine Dussinger Schwebel.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Phylis, wife of Rick Chester, Stratham, NH., a son, Donald B. Winston-Salem, NC., a grandson, a sister, Mrs. Jean Stevens and a brother, Wayne Schwebel, both of Lancaster.
Internment in Quarryville Cemetery.
