Ernest Hunter, 82, Stricken in Shelby Home
SHELBY - A lifelong resident of Shelby and vicinity, Ernest Hunter, 82, Mohican Street, was found dead in his bed by police who were called by resident of a neighboring apartment.
The neighbors of Mr. Hunter were disturbed because he was not about as usual and called the police. The coroner reported that death was due to natural causes.
Mr. Hunter was a former marshal of Shelby, but had not been active lately.
He is survived by a son, Bert, of Plymouth; a daughter, Mrs. Rufus Wolfe of Norwalk; a brother, Ezra Hunter, Shiloh; and a sister, Mrs. Delphos Ferrel, also of Shiloh.
The body was removed to the Barkdull funeral home pending completion of funeral arangements.
