Son of Sarah Vashti Kirby and George Washington Miller. Married Hattie Green Brannom 10 Feb 1897 Nashville, Davidson, TN. Children: Harry Lee, Ella Mae, James Henry, Johnnie Kirby, Frank Edward, Leola Annie and Gertrude Winchester. 2nd marriage to Nellie Presburg 20 Apr 1929 Davidson County, TN.

My grandfather James Henry Miller told me his father worked out of Metro and brought in warrants for $1.00 each to suppliment his income and had knife wounds to prove it. My grandmother said he was a mean man and his wife Hattie was the sweetest of women.

His death certificate says he is buried in Spring Hill Cemetery. His daughter Teresa E. Miller Sprinkles always told me she visited his grave many times and he is not buried there he is buried off Granny White Pike with his son Johnnie Kirby Miller's children He did not have a marker and his grave was to the back right at the fence. I looked on the 8 infants death certificates and it said Hunt burial ground on Granny White Pike. I found out Hunt burial ground is the Nashville historic Tucker-Hayes Cemetery at Granny White Pike and Oman Drive.

I found a 1918 Nashville, Tennessee City Directory that had my great grandfather (James F Miller) as a deputy sheriff.
