Stilson - Mrs. Flossie F. McElveen, 84, died Sunday in Portsmouth, Va., after a long illness. The Bulloch County native lived in Stilson most of her life. She was a member of Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Maurine M. Sawyer of Portsmouth, Va.; two sons, Aulton McElveen of Holy Hill, Fla., and William H. McElveen of Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Edith Miller of Pavo; two brothers, J. Roger Newman of Cleves, Ohio, and Hilton Newman of Oak Hill, Fla.; and nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church, burial in the church cemetery. Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro.
