Clarence H. Bruckschen, 93, former village of Cleveland and present resident of Terrace Estates in Sheboygan, went home to his Lord, September 3, 2010, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
Born November 20, 1916, in Town of Centerville, he was the son of the late Herman and Emma Leiteritz Bruckschen.
He attended German School in Town of Centerville.
On October 10, 1936, he was united in marriage to Virginia L. Reinemann at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. The couple resided in Town of Centerville, where they engaged in dairy farming. The Cleveland Coop also employed Clarence for 25 years. The marriage was blessed with four children. Virginia and Clarence retired from farming in 1955 and moved to the village of Cleveland in 1984. Mrs. Bruckschen passed away March 10, 2010.
Clarence was a member of St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland, where he had served on the church council, had been a longtime member of the choir, as well as a member of the church's Married People Society. He was very active in the Town of Centerville and served on the Town Board.
Clarence is survived by four children, Kenneth (Judy) Bruckschen of Cleveland, Joanne (Gary) Van Calster of Green Bay, Sharon (Dale) Lorfeld of Burlington, and Larry (Nancy) Bruckschen of Cleveland; twelve grandchildren, Michael (Rene) Bruckschen, Randall (Sharon) Bruckschen, Troy (Dawn) Bruckschen, Steve (Jill) Hirschmann, Dawn Barnes, Kathlyn (Kevin) Riem, Wendy (Larry) Johnson, Amy (Kurt) Isenberger, Stacy (Kevin) Becker, Jennifer (Nic) Ondrako, Daniel Bruckschen, and Corey Bruckschen; two step-grandchildren, Brian (Rene) Van Calster and Todd (Jill) Van Calster; twenty three great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Busse; one sister-in-law, LaVerne Bruckschen; three brothers-in-law, Ambrose Wollersheim, Karl Reinemann, and Don (Shirley) Reinemann.
Preceding him in death are his wife, one brother, William Bruckschen, one sister, Esther Wollersheim, two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Gilbert Busse, Ray and Helene Lutze, and Virginia Reinemann.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1251 West Washington Ave. in Cleveland. Pastor David Endorf will officiate, and burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery (Kassa Cemetery) in Town of Centerville. The Sheboygan Press
