Preston Allen - JOHNSON CITY
Preston Talmadge "PT" Allen, age 77, Johnson City, died Saturday, September 18, 2010, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
He was born in Marion, Virginia, a son of the late Charles Herbert Allen and Nellie Shew Allen. Mr. Allen was a member of Clifton View Baptist Church and was a Mechanic of Heavy Equipment.
He is survived by three sons, Gary Allen and wife, Sherry, Donnie Allen and wife, Terri, and Denny Allen and wife, Donna; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two brothers, Ted Allen and Ernie Allen; one sister, Iris Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday, September 20, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park with Pastor Claude Babb officiating. Pallbearers will be Mr. Allen's grandsons.
The family will receive friends anytime at 276 Brandonwood Drive, Johnson City, TN.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the family at 3107 Summit Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37604.
