George W. Lester was the son of Samuel Lester and Sindrella Woolf. He married Mary Jane Purdy on 7 Dec 1852. They had 12 children, 5 daughters and 7 sons: Eliza J. born 1853, Samuel Albert born 1855, Frances J. born 1857, Ebb Dick born 1858 (although gravestone says 1859), Martha born in Sept 1861, Robert Jackson born 1861 (but I think it should be 1862), Sidney Johnson born 1864, Pernecie born 1867, George Bryant born 1869, John B "Jack" born 1871, Charles Franklin born 1874, and Minnie Belle born 1879.
George and Mary Jane lived in the Harmony District all of their married lives and are buried in Millwood Cemetery on Harmony Church Rd.
Of their 12 children's graves, I am missing 4 of the 5 daughters. Can any help me find them? Eliza J. who married Elijah Hice Wadlington and who we think died in 1896. Frances J who married James Wadlington in 1878, Martha was was born in 1861 but apparently died before the 1870 census, and Pernecie who married John Ellsworth Lamb in 1885.
